Decorating a Dormer Window Room

Does anyone have some great ideas for interior design for rooms with dormer windows? Those slanted ceilings truly cut out a lot of possibilities but I know there must be some great ideas that I just haven't thought of yet. I have two rooms like that... a large one and a smaller one. I'd like to make the most of that space and I think it would be fun decorating them differently... just need some creative ideas.

What kind of ceiling do you have in those rooms? Are the slick finished or pop corn or textured? I think a wall paper border would look good at the top of the wall. :D

I'm not familiar with a popcorn textured ceiling... it *is* textured, though, not smooth. We've tried to use borders but with that textured finish, they just don't stick. :( Do you have any tricks for making borders stick on that kind of wall or ceiling?

I entirely agree with your comment, Humming Bird. I firmly believe that a wall paper border would look fantastic.
