We used to have a wasps' nest back in my parent's house - my first hour. I don't remember how they stunned the wasps to prevent them from stinging but I do remember the vision of the man carrying the HUGE wasps' nest down the ladder from the attic. I bet I had nightmares that night!

I knew an air conditioning mechanic who used to "stun" things like that with a can of freon. I can't remember if it actually worked but considering how deadly it can be to humans, I have to assume that it did!

Ugh! How did you end up getting rid of that wasp's nest? I think I would call the pros, but I really prefer not to be stung. We have a small one on the corner of our shed, but I don't think I've ever heard of one that big!
