Seiza bench project
Hi!
A seiza bench was originally meant to help a person to get into a comfortable and relaxing position for meditation but I use it whenever I need to sit low. Makes a nice DIY carpentry project. Mine's simply built from a plank with 2 short 2x2 nailed to raise it off the ground. Craftman types could create beautiful sieza's. |

They look really nice but from the picture I don't see how that position can be comfortable, maybe that is because I've never used one of those. They are very small and I bet they are very easy to store, don't trip on them.

Another useful device to extort money from people! Although it does look rather fancy, I've always preferred the natural way to mediate. Cross-legged! Can't beat it, in my opinion. Perhaps this is a good device for older people, though.

Looks like a nifty contraption. Not all folks can properly sit on their haunches or do a perfect lotus position when meditating. But I'm thinking it could have some use in the garden, sitting on it while weeding rather than kneeling on a pad. But of course, not all people could site that low.

As a getting older person, I don't think I'd like the getting up and down, to sit on one of those benches I like my sofa too much !!
Still it could double up as an exercise step. |
