Default Trades Paint

We're having our house done up through the insurance company due to a leak roughly 6 months ago. I picked out the paint at random, being somewhat naive about paint, so I superficially picked a colour. The insurance company then rang me up to inform me that I had selected trades paint at £55 a pot! After a little back and forth banter they decided to let me have the trades paint! I was shocked as I thought I'd just give them some grief back to see if they would give me the paint as I'd picked it for the colour and it was the most ideal colour in the book!

I've never, ever heard of insurance companies paying out so much for paint! It definitely wasn't like-for-like.
